Check out this video of Mrs. Harden reading the book, Maybe a Bear Ate It! by Robie Harris. After watching her read this fun book I invite you to be an author and an illustrator by creating your own work of what you think ate the book.
You can make a copy of the activity where you can draw what you think ate the book Google Drawing (make a copy): https://docs.google.com/drawings/d/189uevqwZN_IUBJ-HXWx-6R4S_KFSSW8atOCa3qh7qpw/copy?usp=sharing Stay well, Tulip

Stay well, Tulip A really cool resource that we have available living in Wisconsin is BadgerLink. BadgerLink allows Wisconsin residents to Britannica School Elementary and more all for Free! The easiest way to access it is through our Library's website. Mrs. Harden made the following video to explain BadgerLink to Mr. Duddeck and his friends. Enjoy! You may learn about the holiday, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and about the man in BadgerLink. Stay Well, Tulip P.S. The blog will be back on the 20th and I will be updating weekly due to Mrs. Harden being back in the school building and not seeing her as often.- Tulip Mrs. Harden has been purchasing lots and lots of ebooks and audio books for our students and staff. Check out some of the newer titles. Stay well, Tulip Mrs Harden found this wonderful resources for connecting with your students from PBS Kids! Five things parents can do to create meaningful connections with their children in the new year.
Whatever you do spend time as a family and appreciate one another. Stay well, Tulip I know that it is a bit past when gingerbread stories are read but I could not resist sharing this with you. Mrs. Harden read the book, The Library Gingerbread Man by Dotti Enderle.
The Gingerbread Man, who lives at 398.2 on the library shelves, decides to escape and leads the librarian on a chase throughout the nonfiction section of the library. The nonfiction section of the library is arranged by the Dewey Decimal System. This means they are arranged by topic or discipline/field of study. Each numerical section starts out with broad or general subjects, and gets more narrow as you move through the numbers. The Gingerbread man visits many parts of the nonfiction (true facts about real people and places) in the library, use the Draw and Tell App or the Doodle Buddy App to share about your favorite nonfiction book or section in the library. Here is the video of her reading the story: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_WbeJ8wti5qhuNwmAgK8RM1aVmPvziRI/view?usp=sharing Video on how to use the Draw and Tell App: https://youtu.be/udJFsjaPdTA Video on how to use Doodle Buddy: https://youtu.be/GWU9BQb4K28 I can't wait to see what you created! Stay well, Tulip Learning our alphabet is so important! Did you know that fiction (made up stories by an author) books are arranged in ABC or alphabetical order in the library?
Video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_X1KpwvFDDX6ZBRWX3iUzXHnrIxf4kUg/view?usp=sharing What is the order? Worksheet: Directions: Arrange letters in ABC order from page two into the boxes on page one. Use the alphabet as a guide (you can highlight the letters as you are putting them in order on the alphabet displayed above each problem). https://drive.google.com/file/d/1VfIiqZbRoTp9fyCtpMXpW9R6ljMUPjon/view?usp=sharing Stay well, Tulip I hope that you had a safe and enjoyable school break! I know our family enjoyed going tech free and spending quality time together.
